I have no Juneteenth insights except to say that I'm proud Galveston TX was the spark and that my hometowns of Austin and Houston have the best historical pictures for celebrations going back to Reconstruction. The Emancipation Park plaque from 1873, Austin picnic 1900, Houston parade entrant 1908.
