The events of the last 24 hours must serve as a wake-up call for a federal judiciary that has grown too comfortable deferring to the executive branch and too slow to hold it accountable. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/two-...

You won't find a more important piece than this -- an absolute must-read from the woman who wrote the book on concentration camps
When I got the contract to write a history of concentration camps in 2014, I hoped to keep the US from ending up here. That didn't work out! But now it's critical to understand how much is already in process and the enormity of what's coming. The sooner we act to stop it, the more people we'll save.

Yup. Again, as Lyons said, the goal is "Amazon Prime, but with human beings." And what better way to do that than warehouses?
it's also logistics. the goal is to have all detainees in a smallish group of strategically located warehouses for easier/faster transfers and removals, instead of an enormous patchwork of hundreds of big and small places all across the country

Detention fuels deportation. Not only does it make it substantially harder to win your case because you are away from your resources, but detained people are pressured hard to just give up.
If the goal is deportation why so much warehouse space? We all know where this is headed.
