Bringing my pinned Tweet along with me as I migrate here because this still matters & because we cannot normalize what Trump intends to do to DOJ. Justice should never be a political tool for presidents & their pals.

4. It’s going to take billions of dollars of media investment to counter the narratives that Republicans have created since FDR passed The New Deal. An insidious narrative that was further honed between Roger Ailes memo of 1971 to Newt Gingrich’s 1990s GOPAC.

Friday tradition: ending the week with some shared joy no matter how rough the week.

Tell me something good.

What good thing happened in your life this week?

Aced a project or ate like a king or queen, either works. Just something good.

It seems like we are a democracy careening towards fascism, when the reality is they're using the specter of fascism to keep us on edge while they turn America into a compliant oligarchy.

Whether you are a democrat or republican, we have a common foe.

Some of us just don't know it yet.

A lot of AOCs appeal is simply the contrast of wondering why she (rightfully) gets pissed off about stuff but hardly any other elected official in the party does
"If a woman doesn't look woman enough to a Republican, they want to be able to inspect your genitals to use a bathroom? It's disgusting.

Everyone should reject it completely... they're endangering women, they're endangering girls of all kind, and everyone should reject it. It's gross." - AOC

New generations waking up to fury and grief is how we move forward and extend centuries worth of (often circular, often maddening, often unsuccessful) work to make this country a more just and equitable place for more of the people who live in it.
Naomi Beinart, 16: "We girls woke up to a country that would rather elect a man found liable for sexual abuse than a woman...Where the body I haven’t fully grown into may no longer be under my control. The boys, it seemed to me, just woke up on a Wednesday."
Opinion | I’m 16. On Nov. 5 the Girls Cried, and the Boys Played Minecraft.
On the day after the election, it seemed boys and girls woke to a new reality.
