In their lifetime, the average so-called cinephile will watch barely a fraction of all films ever released. That’s why I’m cinemamaxxing. By watching films at 5x speed I can experience the entire filmography of auteurs both famous and obscure in a matter of hours

I recognize I’m part of the precise problem Mike is poking here but … I always thought Star Wars was a bit special due to the absolute lack of crossovers with anything. Mike is right that it’s probably inevitable - but when it happens it’ll represent a breaking of the last codicil of an older world.
