Lynch's work wasn't just "weird."

In the way Studio Ghibli tears are shown as how crying *feels* rather than how it appears, Lynch had feeling lead in his storytelling to the point of superceding the established reality and logic of the art. Not solely dream oddity but dream-emotion elasticity.
Someone compared the new Osgood Perkins movie to a David Lynch film...if I watch this movie and it's like the last of Perkins work ima be pissed...
