I suppose in many ways the question of whether one considers oneself "neurotypical" is the same as whether one considers oneself "middle class," i.e., which is to say a lot more people would put themselves in the category than necessarily would be there from definitions and statistics alone.
Isn't that just a question of how many standard deviations from average you consider "normal"?

i've been sitting here silently, trying to describe the feeling of reading a journalist whose beat is "people and power" and "accountability" saying something like this. so far I've come up with "your car mechanic telling you to fill up your gas tank with antifreeze"
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

as someone who lives nextdoor to both supportive housing and public housing, i need people to understand that the best locations for both are going to be the central neighborhoods in a metropolitan area, where there is easy and reliable access to services and jobs.

I hear autism didn't exist when these oblivious eugenicists were young.
It's weird that every one of my family, in multiple generations, has autistic traits, I'm #ActuallyAutistic, and so are my kids. Something's up, huh?
