ICE has been holding a disabled Black man for a year!

Rodney Taylor is a double amputee who was days away from receiving new prosthetic legs when ICE took him.

He’s been denied his prosthetics & placed in solitary.

His health is declining.

Public outrage might save his life.

Say his name:

My mom does this. She’s legally blind, and managing leading her and holding onto luggage and getting through a terminal and not losing things is too much for my dad to manage on his own. This is the only way they can get help, so that’s what they do.

I’m very very tired of “living in fear” being lobbed at maskwearers by people who frequently say they can’t wear one because no one else around them is.

Living in fear is ignoring science and endangering lives and your own health because you’re terrified of not fitting in.

Billionaires are flying around on private jets.

Endless amounts of money & resources spent on wars around the globe.

But inhalers are the real threat to the climate?

I will die on this hill:

it isn’t hard to say “at the height of the pandemic” or “at the start of COVID” during a podcast interview. Producers, hosts, don’t let your guests say “during COVID” like this thing is over. Correct them. Ask them to say the sentence again. This is your job.

Accessibility is not a “favor” you do disabled people. It’s a human right.

And if you do provide it, as decent people are supposed to do, you don’t bitch about it.

Repeated infections of Covid-19 do not "build immunity."

Repeated infections of Covid-19 degrade immunity.

As collective immunity declines, most people will experience more infections of Covid-19 and other diseases, causing an increasing amount of serious illness and excess mortality.

I know people are tired of living in the pandemicine and want to believe that covid is just a cold or stomach bug, but that doesn’t change the fact that covid is still actively killing and disabling people with heart, brain, lung, gut and other terrible permanent conditions.

I think some people have trouble seeing fascism as anything other than 1940s Germany.

But I think 'people going to a comic convention needing to have a plan in case the government's goons show up to disappear people' is a pretty good demonstration of what it can look like in 2025.

Don’t be surprised if the next marginalized community the far right decides to target and demonized is the disabled community.

An excellent example of why we say there’s no such thing as “mild” Covid.

It’s a multi system vascular virus that can have devastating effects on your immune and metabolic systems.

Wear a mask. Clean the air. Stay home when you’re sick.

Every layer helps protect yourself & others.
