It was one of the most psychedelic, bizarre and beloved Canadian children's shows ever made.
Structured like a sketch comedy show around the comedic genius of Billy Van, it is well remembered even to this day.

Seems like a great opportunity to encourage companies to invest in Ontario and move plants here.
"Among those detained were South Korean employees on business travel....

"The raid could raise concerns for South Korean companies that are sending personnel to the US and hiring locally."

It comes weeks after Hyundai pledged $26 billion in US investments.

My prediction is that the only reform the longest ballot committee is going to accomplish is legislation to introduce a residency requirement for candidates.

She was the first known transgender person to run for political office in Canada, who spent her life helping others.

Today is National Superhero Day.
There are many superheroes, antiheroes and villains that call Canada home.
From a few very famous ones, to lesser known ones, these are SOME (I can't include them all...) of the many Canadian superheroes!

🇨🇦 Because apparently it's not common knowledge:

You don't need a voter card, or be registered in advance to vote in a federal election. Find out where your poll is at elections.ca , come with some ID (there's options), and you can vote. It's really that easy.

While the content of what he said was ok (but not very deep) the delivery was terrible and he seemed very unprepared to talk about indigenous folks. Not a good look.
What do you think of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s response to questions about the Liberals and reconciliation?

Very interesting that PEI and Alberta didn't get ministers. Certain Heath MacDonald and George Chahal were clear choices. I get this is supposed to be a smaller and transitional cabinet, but to leave out two provinces is not a choice I'd make going into an election.

This. An economic, diplomatic and military alliance of like minded democratic and human rights upholding countries.
No. I've been vocal about taking the strongest of actions both against the US and in terms of steering our economy away, but we should not steer towards China or any other authoritarian regime. Strengthen economic ties with Europe, the Commonwealth, Japan, etc.

It's election day in Ontario. I know it's crappy weather, this election has been lame and it's inconvenient. But voting is an important to our democracy and even if you think your vote wont count, it does in supporting our democracy in a time when all democracies are under attack. Go vote! (Please)

We should openly declare our agreement to this statement and reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine.
BREAKING: France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain & UK sign a joint statement vowing to protect Ukraine’s sovereignty & demanding a role in the peace talks.

This is leadership.

It’s also unprecedented.

A western alliance is having to form against a new, twin & united threat: Trump & Putin.

Ontario universities are cut to the bone. They're being financially strangled by the Ford government, via a merciless, stupid tuition freeze and the lowest per student funding in Canada, ever. If this gov't is re-elected, one of the best uni systems in the world is dead.
Just received another update from our University Provost on the budget crisis. It includes what I believe is the first explicit statement that there will be some real big job cuts over the next three years. No specifics yet.
