At my hospital I often say "people in carpeted offices" shouldn't get to make patient care decisions. If your office floor isn't linoleum you're too far from patients to make decisions about their care.
The thing about this. The dismissal of “air conditioned offices”. Is that Pete Hegseth never went to airborne school. Never went to air assault. Never attempted a ranger tab. Never served as a company commander.

Not a minor correction: only the oath of enlistment includes a commitment to following the orders of the President. There no such commitment in the oath of commissioned officers.
Members of the military take an oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic, and to obey the orders of the president too.
