Today, 15th March, is #LongCOVIDAwarenessDay
We stand with the millions who suffer in silence. The cost of inaction is too great. Never let a good crisis go to waste—now is the time to demand a #longCOVID moonshot research project to find effective treatments. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Australia needs friends we can rely on and Trump isn’t reliable. At all.
Yet Peter Dutton reckons he can be Donald’s bestie…. 😳
Bullies don’t have friends, they just have suckers.
Aust needs to rethink our relationship with the US.
Handcuffing ourselves to America with AUKUS is reckless.

Almost 5 years since I started asking about air quality in relation to covid. Fewer people now tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about.
When a team of doctors, scientists and engineers at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the University of Cambridge placed an air filtration machine in COVID-19 wards, they found that it removed almost all traces of airborne SARS-CoV-2.

Patients are not second class citizens and are objectively at more risk than staff statistically speaking .

This is not okay.

In 2021 in England, public health decided that the way to get well was to get sicker, and that the way to get rid of disease was to catch it.
It's official policy.
They write it down and everything.

Since then...

Me “my 90yo dad needs outta here Bed B has covid”

Nurse “the curtains will protect him”

Me “Ha! Covid is airborne haven’t you bn told by hospital ID?”

Nurse “no it spreads by droplets”

Me 2 days later “dad has Covid it’s AIRBORNE curtains DONT WORK”

Nurse “he must’ve got it in bathroom”

Me🤬
“Magic curtains.”

HCW casually using this term and laughing about it.

Everyone knows the curtains don’t stop COVID-19.

But we are *causing* 1/7 of all C19 deaths in the state of NSW… and it’s all very amusing.

We have a lot of memos and leaked/discovered emails floating around about the intentional decision of the Biden administration to lie to the public about the pandemic. I'd like to gather it all into one coherent narrative if anyone hasn't done that yet. Hit me with links.

This is the crux of the issue. If our failed pandemic response has taught us anything - it’s how little people think of the “vulnerable”. They’re willing to throw us away for brunch.

We won’t get equitable (or any) medical care if it’s cheap & legal to offer us death instead.
In societies that demonise long term chronically sick people, fail to cure them and instead demand they get back to work, euthanasia should not exist

Key point is that China has been investing in EVs for over a decade to reduce its dependence on imported oil.

No country wants to be dependent on imports for key energy or security needs. And that's a big reason why it is unlikely that projections of high LNG demand growth in Asia will be realized.

Your regular reminder that a subgroup of long COVID and ME patients do not respond to exercise with muscle hypertrophy.

Instead, they get muscle necrosis.

This means exercise can make them worse.

Something to make you laugh.

Someone that is highly skeptical of my points of view decided to ask ChatGPT questions on C19.

It basically repeated verbatim the stuff I say.

Now that’s probably because I base my opinions on data, however the 100k+ tweets probably affected the results. 😂
