Hi, are you slouching? Have you eaten something today?

Slowly sit up straight, roll your shoulders back (5-10x), then rotate your head left to right and back (3-5x). End by reaching your arms as high as you can and then lowering them back down (3-5x).

You can do it. One thing at a time.

You're 100% correct. I wrote a piece about that very thing on my Substack. Humbly submitted for anyone who wants to do something but can't protest. Here's some ideas.

If there's one thing to call about for the next several days, it's this: early next week the house will be voting on a budget resolution that decimates Medicaid. This is an immediate life-and-death issue for so many, and the GOP House majority is razor-thin.

Call early and often. And pass it on.

It is 11PM on Thursday night and an email from a high ranking Hill healthcare staffer has just hit my inbox: Medicaid faces an "existential" vote in the House, probably Tuesday...

If you're trying to figure out what to do right now, my advice is to just pick a thing that you think might be useful in some way, however small, and do it. Doing a thing leads you to doing another, bigger thing, and prepares you for that next thing.

hey! are you doomscrolling?

Small efforts can still have big impacts. Remember how good it feels to eat something when you're really hungry? The power of someone's encouragement? Or a compliment from a stranger?

There are lots of things you can do to help yourself and other people. Keep going.

Heads up, New Yorkers.
New Yorkers: tomorrow is the last day to register to vote in this year's mayoral primary — don’t count on others to get rid of the corrupt & compromised collaborator Eric Adams, who's mayor because 79% of eligible NYers failed to turn out last time.
Do your part, dammit:

This for flu and every vaccine you can get covered.

Do it, and do it now.

You want all the immunity and residual immunity you can get going into what's likely coming.
Not for nothing, but if you qualify for a free or cheap vaccine now, I'd get it right away before Secretary Brainworms takes them away

Don’t just say DEI as if it’s a bad word. Spell it out.

Say diversity, which is the lifeblood of American society & culture & innovation.

Say equity, which a just society should pursue.

Say inclusion, because decent people believe in increasing belonging, not isolating people who are different.

I just voted for funding for Scarleteen at Project for Awesome. All I had to do was check the box to prove I'm not a robot, and click the button to vote.

I've personally utilized the resources at Scarleteen and recommended them to many people over the years. They are an invaluable resource.
Proud to work with my comrades @scarleteen.bsky.social on making sure youth have access to quality, accurate, affirming sex ed. They've done it on a shoestring budget since 1998! Please vote for them at Project for Awesome for a shot at a transformative funding opportunity.
