Just happy to be here.

I’m sure news that he will no longer be leader of the Victorian Liberals will come as a relief to Brad

Penny Wong accidentally saying the quiet bit out loud - for Labor the US relationship is more important than the Australian environment. Who do this lot think they work for?

What’s actually “disappointing” is the fact your party is responsible for funding these services and is choosing not to.
Either fund these services or run them publicly. Don’t complain on Instagram about your own failure to do either of these things.
Pathetic.

This decision by the Victorian government risks increased:

- Motor accidents & fatalities
- Agricultural & garden destruction
- Disease transmission
- Environmental harm & species extinctions
- Harm to culturally significant sites

All to appease the hunting lobby!

Why Victoria has rejected calls to stop protecting feral deer
Victoria is the only mainland state that lists deer as a protected game species, rather than a feral pest to be managed.

Awesome to have voted out the party that loudly gives no shits about the environment and climate in favour of the part that quietly gives no shits about the environment and climate
“The environment minister wants to pass a major re-write of federal nature laws this year, encouraging miners to lobby the Coalition to work with Labor to help rush it through parliament in the final three sitting weeks”

Just contemplate that sentence.

Proposed timeframe leaves 12 days to scrutinise most significant changes to national environmental protection regime since 1999

The Reserve Bank of Australia has joined the growing chorus of voices who say the federal government's 5% deposit scheme is short-sighted when it comes to controlling house prices. That's the RBA using Treasury's modelling to tell the government to reconsider its housing fix.

Fun fact: Doctor Oz, Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, close friend of Trump and RFK Jr., and self-admitted fraudulent supplement huckster, sells multiple forms of leucovorin through his supplement company, iHerb, which he didn’t divest when taking his federal gov role.
Anyway watch the stocks of whoever has the patent of leucovorin go up after the announcement. That’s all this is. Promoting Leucovorin so adults force their kids to ingest it to “cure their autism”.

But what is Leucovorin and why are they claiming it cures autism? 👇

It’s about control, regardless of the harm that might come to the mother or child
So Trump and RFK Jr, who have never been pregnant, declare that pregnant women should just suffer if they have a high fever or are in pain because… why?

Wait for it: no data, no facts, nothing.

Politicians shouldn't be able to control your vote. But in Victoria, their deals direct your upper house preferences, when voting above the line.
Only in Victoria.
Every other state and the Commonwealth has abolished group voting tickets which allow this. 1/2

I grew up in a Melbourne where houses didn’t need aircon, where a fan got you through the occasional hot day. That lifestyle was on tragic display during the 2009 heatwave.
“More than 20 million Australians in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide could swelter through deadly heatwaves of more than 44 degrees stretching across 1.72 million square kilometres if temperatures rise by 3 degrees.”

If you turn up to rally and chant and sing, then politely listen and say nothing when Nazis get up to speak, you don’t come across as a good person.
Someone please take this to Albo.

(And if you knew enough about this march to go to it, you knew enough to know it was full of Nazis)

Those of us in emergency med need to be more judicious about cutting off clothing.

There’s a time for it.

But your unhoused patient’s bra is probably the only one they have. If they can sit up, move without c spine concerns, and are hemodynamically stable, remove it the normal way.

Labor and the LNP are exactly alike on climate change and environmental destruction.

But hey it was fun having that play fight over nukes during the election rather than debating reality.
