A cracking read #nufc
Let’s have a heated debate - some people aren’t all in on our Saudi owners - Matthew Philpotts is the TF contrarian - an absolutely brilliant and thought provoking read -

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.

BBC1’s Death Valley with Timothy Spall is as charming as it is absurd — it’s like Midsomer Murders at its best

The 24/25 season was historic for #NUFC. Howe turned a rough summer into our first major domestic 🏆 in 70 years—and UCL qualification.
But success brings expectation. With PSR easing & more games in 25/26, fans & Howe expect investment.
But who to buy? Welcome to my third annual Summer Transfer 🧵

105 cyclists/yr are killed by cars in the UK.
Cars kill or seriously injure 1,233 child pedestrians (u16) per year.
Changing the law is meaningless because so few people are killed by bicycles. The only effect will be to give drivers an even greater sense of entitlement to endanger others

Did you know that people who have lived in the UK for just three years, who may never have worked here, can buy a full state pension?
It would be good to know how many people overseas are doing this. So I asked HMRC. They don't know: www.newstatesman.com/politics/eco...

Exclusive: the state pension is being siphoned off abroad
And HMRC has no idea where it’s going to.

Every time Alistair Campbell and Rory Stewart refer to Anthony Scaramucci as The Mooch it just torpedoes the seriousness for me. They might as well be talking about a friend they have called Farthouse or something. That is all. #news

When Meta started developing its flagship AI model, employees faced an ethical question, Alex Reisner writes. The program would need to be trained on a huge amount of high-quality writing to be competitive with products such as ChatGPT. Should they just pirate it?
