I don't really post anymore, but I would like to carry on writing books at some point in the future.

Hate to be annoying, but any chance you could retweet so old twitter followers can find me if they want to? Going to delete my twitter, or at least abandon it on lock and let it die a slow death.

I want Keir Starmer to lead - to call out racism, not mutter about bunting.

To offer real refugee policy, not parrot Farage.

To show Britain is better than this.

Instead we’re cowering. We must do better. They must do better.
Enough Platitudes: Starmer Must Confront Racism With Courage, Not Flags

Top trolling from Merz 🤣
Chancellor Merz is right now in the Oval Office and presented Trump the birth certificate of his German grandfather, Friedrich Trump.

Quite a clever gambit by Merz, whose name is also Friedrich.

It's just awful to hear this about Julian.

Hold up, if everyone here is paying their cleaners in cash, what likelihood do you think there is that the cleaners are declaring it and paying tax?

You could extrapolate and also ask if they're claiming some kind of unemployment welfare.
London people, how much do you pay your cleaner per hour?

From 3 months ago! 🤣
not saying anyone should, but I bet you could convince Trump to re-open Alcatraz in under 20 minutes

Why doesn't she say what she means:

Britain has loads of brown people, and not in a good way.
Self-awareness was never her strong point but this is a bit rich coming from a Cameron A-lister ie, a DEI hire

Good.

The bad news is that when it was privatised, the deal was that the government would take on ALL debts and liabilities. No wonder they've racked up so much borrowing.

Well done Thatcher.

Here you go Starmer...
I repeat if the UK is serious about being a health powerhouse it needs to start head hunting all these folks now with visas and research funding

The fact that austerity doesn't appear on the list tells you all that you need to know about Britons.
As 2025 approaches, we asked the public to tell us in their own words what has been the single most significant historical event to have occurred since 1 January 2000

1. Covid: 26%
2. 9/11: 24%
3. Queen dying: 11%
4. Ukraine war: 7%
5. Brexit: 5%

Even doctors have gone woke. Everyone knows about plonks.
Doctor: do you exercise?

Me: oh yeah I do all of them, the push-offs, plonks

Doctor:

Me: cronchies

Doctor: I'm gonna put no

Me: ok

Until relatively recently, almost everyone in England who consumed news read just one national newspaper a day - all of them with a definite and consistent worldview. There was the BBC, but its ideological take was muted. So away with your "we're all heading into an echo chamber" rubbish.

This song keeps buzzing around my head.
It's pretty miserable that this song was written 60 years ago and is still valid. And there's a lot of people that it could be about.

(Eddie Vedder does it better 😉)
