Glen Powell still has not escaped my view of him as a square-jawed walking set of abs with no personality but The Running Man 2025 is pretty remarkably representative of what real life will be in a few months. Even more remarkable since Stephen King wrote it in the 1980s. It's an okay fun film.

lmao. so much is happening, I missed that a new film called Nuremberg was released this weekend. I don't know how it's doing but it would be amazing if ICE tried to disappear people from a movie theater parking lot with that on the marquee. Maybe this really IS a glitching simulation.

It's trivial compared to everything else, of course, but Witcher S4 was super disappointing. The actors did their best but the writing just felt terrible. Characters made choices that were out of character. And they had to shove a Bury Your Gays bit in there? booooo.

I keep hearing people talking about things that can be done to improve the DEM party so shit like this doesn't happen and it just sounds identical to reforming the police. That is, it's a garbage idea with mountains of historical evidence it doesn't work. Take the support, give it elsewhere! PSL?

He just hears it as praise. "Everybody loved me, they all cheered for me" might actually come out of his mouth after this.

Calling the Democrats “cowards” suggests that they're scared to do what's right when they show no fervent interest in being an opposition. They're largely colluders, not cowards. Many want their base to think they're cowards to maintain investment in the idea that they can be pushed to do better.

"Hyde language" would be a ban on anything related to abortion. So, any Senate Democrat that caves is agreeing to vote to implement a nationwide abortion ban in exchange for healthcare subsidies.
Democrats are likely to get a vote on an extension later. But they've already gotten similar votes. Republicans already vowing to block an extension without major changes to the ACA, like adding Hyde language.
