Why isn’t “the WH is pushing Nazi propaganda” a story?
The US government is now straight up posting nazi propaganda.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s dissent hits the target. She is reminding us of the stakes in this case. And she is spot on.

I’m also very curious about what tennis people know about Bill Ackman who’s funding the PTPA. Because a lot of things then start to make sense.

Say it with me: Trump won a *plurality* of the vote. Not a majority. Most people who showed up this election voted for someone other than Donald Trump.

Yes, he won. Yes, we have lots of work to do. But treating his agenda like some inevitable tsunami plays right into his hands.

Reject the premise; reframe the argument. Rinse, repeat.
On a serious note though, Democrats have to stop accepting GOP framing on everything. There is no border crisis, instead we need immigration targets. DEI doesn’t discriminate, but we do need integration. Bathroom laws are bullshit; civil rights aren’t up for discussion.

At the end of the day this election went the way it did because VERY rich people used their power and influence to create a universe of false information that directly fed people's most wretched impulses (racism, sexism, xenophobia) and exploited their ignorance.

That's the sum of it.

EVERY STORY ABOUT TRUMP LYING ABOUT THE ELECTION SHOULD NOTE THAT HE WAS INDICTED BY A GRAND JURY FOR LYING ABOUT THE LAST ELECTION AND DIDN'T FACE JUSTICE BECAUSE HIS ALLIES ON THE SUPREME COURT REWROTE THE CONSTITUTION
"The purpose of the conspiracy was to overturn the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election by using knowingly false claims of election fraud to obstruct the federal government function by which those results are collected, counted, and certified."

Been meaning to post this. One thing I've learned firsthand is that one big way of ending polarization is killing partisan gerrymandering as dead as possible. Pre-new maps, I was all in on negative partisanship, Bitecofer-style. Still believe in hitting hard but also leaving room open to persuasion.

The craziest shit for me is that there's an audio recording of Donald Trump asking for Georgia officials to "find votes" in 2020 and he's running now. How is that not instantly disqualifying? We HEARD him. Not Meadows. Not Giuliani. How is asking officials for votes (with proof) not instant jail?

As we recall Menendez’s foreign-influence bribe story and contemplate Eric Adams’s (alleged) misdeeds in the same vein, it might be a very, VERY good idea for @nytimes.com, @washingtonpost.com, @cnn.com et al. to revisit the Egyptian $10 million campaign contribution/bribe paid to one Donald Trump.
