Amidst all the bad news, this is great: Libraries across the country host cookbook clubs, offer classes in demo kitchens, loan spices + kitchen equipment, include food pantries, host farmer's markets, offer English language learning through cooking, host nutrition literacy programs, etc.
How Libraries Are Creating Community Through Food
Libraries nationwide are offering community classes on nutrition, food security, and how to get a good meal on the table.

Graham Platner’s campaign launch has been a sudden sensation. But what he’s building now is rooted in the work of a lifetime.

one of my favorite things about this age of Star Wars storytelling is finding out that the Rebellion's victory wasn't just because of one hero in an X-wing but because of all the people along the way who made the choice to do the right thing

I’ve officially made my writing debut over on @clashingsabers.bsky.social!

Andor’s characters are (almost all) humans. Ghorman was a massacre of humans. So what is #Andor saying about whose suffering we empathize with…and whose we don’t?
Who is Speaking About the Geonosians?
Andor is a human story: it’s about love and loss and rage and resistance and the price we pay to make a better world, one that we ourselves may never get to inhabit. It’s also a human story. There …
