Tremane Wood’s brother said he killed a man during a botched robbery. But Wood was sentenced to die for the crime — until today.

This morning, minutes before Wood was scheduled to be executed, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) granted him clemency.

Whenever I see a stranger eating an ice cream on a random Tuesday afternoon, I wonder if it’s because something wonderful happened or maybe something awful, or maybe there was no reason at all, which is my favorite reason of all, and I take it as a reminder to look for less reasons and more pleasure
