LLMs give people with delusional belief systems a way to organise those beliefs. The model fills in gaps, supplies connective tissue, and wraps the madness in formal language.
It doesn't make the claims more credible to us, it just tidies them up.

How a flawed idea is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have repeatedly debunked. And many teachers and parents don't kno...

This is terrible, ignorant, and silly. Let's say trans women athletes do "retain physiological advantages" -- lots of women have lots of physiological advantages for lots of reasons. No one is transitioning so they can come 12th at the hurdles or whatever. www.bbc.com/sport/articl...
IOC moves closer to ban on transgender women

As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.

The way forward is together, not over the bodies of our own.

This is so sad and also… we are so cooked. Therapy isn’t just validation. You need to be challenged. And men? Make a human friend and talk about how you’re feeling. I swear it doesn’t make you gay — just human.
“Young people are using it a lot more like an assistant in their pocket, a therapist when they’re struggling, a companion when they want to be validated, and even sometimes in a romantic way. It’s that personalisation aspect – they’re saying: it understands me, my parents don’t.”

The US rape kit processing backlog was estimated at nearly 400,000 in September of 2024. That’s 400,000 unsolved crimes - not civil infractions - where the evidence that could convict the perpetrator is available, but unchecked. If ICE wants to fight crime, get those agents a GED and a lab coat.
