GREAT example by Yuan

Games is actually a fantastic example of what happens when you remove the obstacle that everyone thought was the biggest hurdle in building a game: needing to build a game engine

Easier to build games… still very hard to build great games!

Outside of Google is there any large company NOT using Sonnet as their primary model for coding?

Heard even Meta switched internally to it from Llama

Anthropic pulled off something pretty incredible by becoming the de facto coding model choice for most tech companies…

USD (Kiel-instituttet): Trumps villedende narrativer bør bekjempes.

Anyone saying that GenAI could replace software engineers don't understand how software is created (and operated.)

Tool innovations have always make the process of building software faster, cheaper: GenAI and AI agents will also do this.

But these are tools and efficiency gains.

So few large companies realize how powerful it is to support people when they are dealing with tough stuff, and what it does to culture.

Note NVIDIA is one of the very few Big Techs that never did mass layoffs.

These things can add up.

According to Korean constitutional law, if martial law is declared in a state of non-war, the National Assembly can vote to make the president stand it down. The National Assembly is gathering now.

I posted the exact same question on Threads, X and Bluesky, asking what IDEs devs liked the most.

Despite having 10x as many "followers" on X, Bluesky, and a similar one on Threads, Bluesky is most definitely where the most humans respond to a technical post.

I love it here!
My biggest takeaway: the plurality of your audience is on Bluesky

Two charts reflecting Russia's state of the economy. The Russian Ruble is clearly losing value, with accelerating speed. This already happened when the full-scale war started back in 2022. Russia's primary countermeasure was to increase the base interest rate. That worked back then.

Anyone seen any? I found @ylecun.bsky.social so far

Bluesky is building such that if future Bluesky sucks or fails, you can keep going without them.

This point is so important and completely ignored by the doomers insisting enshittification is inevitable.
The network should outlast the company
Bluesky is a PBC (public benefit corporation) with the mission “to develop and drive large-scale adoption of technologies for open and decentralized public conversation.”

From the start, our goal has been to build a decentralized social network that is usable by the mainstream.
