Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.

What is it like living in Chicagoland these days? This happened in the suburb just south of mine this afternoon. Also today, I.C.E. was at the hospital where my children were born. And in the past few days they have been seen at libraries, the children's museum, and one of the schools in my burb.
