This UCP government has no respect for the Charter or for Albertans.
Once again, Alberta’s UCP Government plans to suspend Charter Rights of Albertans.

First to attack teachers’ rights, now trans youth.

The Justice Minister proudly said his voice is the final voice on this matter.

It is not. The voice of the people is the final voice.

One of my fave songs is the the easter anthem -were you there?
It's like the union song that asks which side are you on?Easter reminds me to challenge injustice and join the struggle.
But whatever you believe, have a good weekend.

I genuinely love this. The historical record is full of examples of people finding meaning, joy, and love during eras of oppression.

And it’s all that meaning, joy, and love that turns into the social movements that brought more freedom.

We all need a reminder that there’s beauty in the struggle.
For anyone who needs something inspiring right now - here's a short video from the National Archives about queer life and persistence, finding friends and lovers, in the 1920s:

I hate having to put this out there but it seems many people are unaware.
The term "idiot" is an ableist slur and offensive to the developmental and intellectual disability community. It was once medical terminology, back when using racial slurs was normal as well.
