Labour are attacking Greens. Fine. I have yet to see any party that has entirely affordable aspirations.

But at least the Greens HAVE aspirations.

Labour have seemingly decided the status quo cannot be touched, even when it doesn't work for 90% of people, or the viability of life on the planet.

This Disability Pride month, I’m grateful for the readers who say Who Wants Normal? is helping them feel more valued and confident. This book was never about downplaying inequality but proudly rejecting the shame and stereotypes the non-disabled world forces on us. With jokes.

Will we stop sending weapons to Israel? Will we stop funding illegal settlements in the West Bank? Will we impose a trade boycott? Will we actually *do* anything?
I asked at today's No 10 briefing about AFP's warning that their staff in Gaza are too weak to work and are in clear danger of starving to death, and what more the UK government could do to stop this. This was the reply.

Very sad that Steven has died. A great scientist of memory, he once said to me that what happened between brains was more important than what happened within brains.
Steven Rose appears in my ‘No Platform’ book as he was one of the principal critics in Britain in the 1970s of the racial psychologists claiming links between genetics and IQ.

Tonight’s huge climbdown is testament to the countless disabled people who have tirelessly fought these cuts. Yes, UC was a loss and there’s more to do on PIP, but let’s not underplay this: a government with a vast majority has been forced to u-turn. Because of the disabled community.

Also said any concessions from Starmer can't be trusted as he u turns. Fact remains ,this bill shouldn't be happening. The disabled and vulnerable shouldn't be paying for fiscal mess in cuts. Nor should big corps be getting huge tax breaks in Freeports and or super wealthy be left off hook.
Written to my MP. I'm not impressed with him voting for twelfare cuts bill. After watching Marie Gidball's passionate speech and Rachel Gaskell too. I said this bill doesn't reflect original Labour party values. Especially when big corps get tax breaks in Freeports and there is no wealth tax.

NEW - I understand another concession to rebel MPs is possible to shore up the welfare bill.

Likely to be linked to concerns around the Timms review which is one of the key remaining issues MPs have.

Still major anxiety about this bill, especially with abstentions
