Outrageous.

Ministers should be listening to scientists, frontline communities and those working towards a green transition – not hosting the interests of oil giants in their own offices.

Why on earth is the government allowing giant gas companies to RIP OFF the British public in the middle of winter? 🧵

They could reach No.10 without ever facing proper scrutiny – another critical failure of the mainstream press.

The Government is consulting on the Earned Settled Status scheme.

Idk whether it will do any good, but have your say, because it helps to let this vile government with their repulsive proposals, know what you think

🚨🧵on Venezuela

While the final US military operation last weekend might have been under cover of darkness, the build-up to it was out in the open for all to see.

I've constructed some timelines of the immediate build-up covering both the strikes and the supporting actions...

Thank you @sanders.senate.gov
for voicing what we know is the truth, when many 🌎 leaders are too frightened to call this out for what it is. It’s a very perilous time for ppl across the 🌎 when the so-called leader of the free 🌎 can apparently act with complete impunity.

It’s crippled by its US dependence.
To all those saying "but if our government spoke out, there might be consequences", please remember that not speaking out also has consequences. The history of appeasement is not a reassuring one.

It’s five years to the day since Donald Trump’s followers attempted to violently overthrow the democratically elected U.S Government following his repeated false claims that the election had been stolen.

If there was any justice Trump would be in prison, not the White House.

Absolutely this thread.

The lack of spine from this government on rule of law has let down the UK hugely.
There are MANY issues with Starmer’s messaging. But I always thought this govts best and easiest bet was to become THE government of the rules and fair play. Led by a former lawyer, lean into fairness, equality, law and order, justice for workers, respect for international law.

This is far worse repression than they have in Venezuela.

Rachel Reeves is killing off pubs. It's not good. Labour are the enemy of local businesses and aren't helping the high street at all. Just been reading about pubs closing in Nottinghamshire and around the country. It's rubbish. Pubs are a British institution and part of our cultural history.
