The President of the United States unilaterally levied a tax on all of us and is redistributing our taxes to a core segment of his supporters.
Trump: "I'm delighted to announce this afternoon that the US will be taking a small portion of the hundreds of billions of dollars we receive in tariffs ... and we're going to be giving and providing it to the farmers in economic assistance. We love our farmers. The farmers like me ... $12 billion"

It’s important to remember there are two scandals here:

1. The Administration has likely committed war crimes.

2. But the entire operation - which now includes two dozen attacks - is illegal. In our democracy, the President CANNOT wage war without the consent of the people.
BERMAN: Did you see any evidence of them trying to use a radio in the video you saw?

TOM COTTON: Well I saw lots of evidence of them standing on the boat that had been capsized

BERMAN: That wasn't my question. Did you see any evidence?

COTTON: No, I didn't

Democrats need to lay the groundwork for reform by attacking the villains on the Supreme Court - loudly, angrily, personally, relentlessly. And they should start now.

Democrats Need to Treat the Supreme Court Like the Villain It Is
The Court is out of control, and we'll never see reform unless we build the case for it. Starting now.

That’s what our Constitution states. Cowardly Republicans in Congress are betraying their oath to defend it.
Congress used to have the power of the purse and the power to declare war.

Wild how the Fed chair saying that *entire regions of the United States* won’t be able to get a mortgage in the next decade barely registered as a news event

Do not allow these insults to go unanswered.
Trump calls Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) "garbage," says that Somalians don't belong in the U.S. because they "do nothing but complain... do nothing but bitch"

2) It's a lie that DC was hell on earth before their arrival
3) It's a lie that military occupation makes a city safer. It actually just amps up the specter of violence
4) Truth? They want to occupy our cities. That's it. tinyurl.com/2456cc46
After the DC National Guard Shooting Comes the Big Lie
West Virginia’s governor, Patrick Morrisey, is inventing reasons for the National Guard to occupy Washington, DC. We cannot let his outrageous fabrications take hold.

If inflation comes up at the dinner table, don’t forget to draw attention to a deeper structural driver of high prices: corporate power.

Much of the food industry is dominated by a few corporate giants with the power to keep prices high because they face little competition.

Powerful argument that Ezra Klein gets this wrong. Pro-choice position helps Democrats in most red states.
In 2025 America, telling Democrats to run “pro‑life Democrats” isn’t the savvy strategy Klein thinks it is. Instead, it’s urging them to normalize the same authoritarian threat they’re supposed to defeat.
