I don't love it either, but I'm not sure how you tell a man that he should let his only surviving son rot in prison to respect norms, institutions, and the rule of law, when the country you devoted your life to serving just pretty comprehensively voted they don't give a shit about any of that.

Charlotte Church sang From the River to the Sea at a fundraising event for Palestinians and now all the usual people are screaming antisemitism and trying to cancel her.

RP if you stand with Charlotte Church and Palestine.

Far too many fine journalists of my generation "broke right" and ended up in dreary rooms with awful, negative and quite nasty people and now think that's entirely normal. It is not.

Thanks to everyone including me in so many Starter Packs. That said, I'm still in a state of shock trying to process what happened to our country since the election, so I won't be posting on a daily basis. I'll be back at some point, but please forgive me: healing takes time. 💙 you all, Mar🐫
My newly UPDATED Starter Pack is now available! It has been joined by more than 850 users and served as a guide to many, many others. I have received a ton of feedback to keep updating and sharing it.

I hope you find it helpful and spread the word! go.bsky.app/JSLScTv

Appreciate this may not be a universally popular opinion but the less you treat BlueSky as a crusade or cause, and the more you position it as simply a superior user experience with a better governance approach, the more sustainable the growth will be.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social a little anecdote about John Prescott you might like… when Chumbawumba threw water on him at the 1998 BRIT awards, I wrote to him to tell him how outrageous it was( I was 15) and he phoned my family landline to say thank you.

"John Prescott"

When he tweeted his amusement, I knew we'd made it.
RIP to a proper Labour politician. No airs and graces.

Forget doom-scrolling, Bluesky is taking over from X, formerly Twitter, with daft memes, Wallace and Gromit — and Carol Vorderman, of course
