It really sucks that this is what 80% of gaming discourse is now. Just endless prattling from the perverted morality police evaluating whether or not the next big vidya game passes the "not woke" scale. A unit of measurement entirely in their own head. Christ I thought 2016 was bad.

I mean, one of the reasons that the Democratic Party is in shambles right now is we really did get a pretty ideal administration and the people that we wanted to help the most and who benefited the most didn't like it. Like of course we feel like shit.

This isn't a culture war. This is the only trans congresswoman, ever being bullied through the press and legislation, and having only 1 of hundreds of colleagues stand up for her. They can do more than 1 thing at a time. Defending her will not take so much effort that they can't do their jobs.
Defending Sarah McBride is absolutely the right thing to do, and yet there’s also the risk of being baited into yet another culture war cycle that distracts from the Republican grift. Her statement suggests she wants to move forward, and I think it’s wise to take the cue from her.

the lesson of the election isn’t “we should give up on trans rights,” it’s that the GOP took an issue that negatively impacted almost no one and made it a headliner. why would it help to surrender on an issue if they can create a grievance from thin air?
