BREAKING: A Russian newspaper today — “America no longer sees our country as a threat… The US leader’s philosophy is closer to the values of Russia’s president, not the politicians of the Old World… he sees Europe as a liberal stronghold that must be destroyed…”

Read that again.

Then why isn’t Israel?

It’s really simple…

- Cap all political donations
- Ban foreign donations
- Strict conflict‑of‑interest & anti‑corruption laws with penalties
- No titles, honours or peerages for donors
- No govt contracts for donors
- Publish every donation/lobby meeting

…that’ll do it.

Gill’s conviction for taking Kremlin money is yet more evidence of Russian influence in our politics, as the Russia report itself found. So when will Ministers finally investigate this wider interference? Why are we forced to pursue it in court? @carolecadwalla.bsky.social

The fall of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is no fall at all.

It comes ELEVEN years too late and has only happened as a damage limitation exercise.

We need to start having a grown up conversation about monarchy... and I'm starting it here.

You might not agree with every protest you see, but these anti-protest laws could stop you having your say on anything from disability rights, employment rights or even your local library shutting.

The government must stop this attack on protest now. --> act.gp/43pAgnt

#r4today Why did it take the death of a two-year-old for the government to even consider holding SH landlords accountable for dangerous levels of mould and damp in rented properties?

And why are children living in private accommodation not considered equally deserving of the same protection?

There is a moment at this time of year when the word ‘apricity’ really comes into view. For those who don’t know it, it was recorded only once, in 1623, before slipping out of view. Apricity is the warmth of the sun on a chilly day.

National Trust Members.

It’s time to vote to keep the Faragists out.

Best not to split the vote.

Use the QUICK VOTE” link both for people and for motions.
Which reminds me, it's that time of year again for National Trust members to vote. The easiest way is to use the 'quick vote' to keep out the traditionalist 'Restore Trust' candidates. secure.cesvotes.com/V3-3-0/nt25/...

What has Yvette Cooper’s proscription of Palestine Action done to this country?

Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.

It undermines police and the law.
