Montana is extremely lucky to have Zooey Zephyr and SJ Howell standing up in front of openly transphobic lawmakers who wanted to pass a bill that would /take trans kids away from their parents./

Thank you to them, and to the Republicans who crossed the aisle. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
‘Stop these crazy bills’: Republicans join Democrats to defeat anti-trans legislation in Montana
One bill would remove trans children from their parents, and the other would ban drag shows and Pride marches

I think a big difference between what’s happening now and the Star Wars prequels is our version of the Sith outright let us know over and over again “We are evil people here to make things bad for most of you but better for us” beforehand and millions of people still voted for them.

I’m so frustrated watching everything collapse. I’m so lucky to be away from the US and well on my way to making that permanent, but it sucks watching it all just happen with seemingly nothing being done to stop it.

So Trump's shutting down of the entire government's funding system for American projects is literally so he can go line by line and target transgender people and other minorities.

When we said transphobia affects cis people too, well... here you go.

It’s wild to me that the MAGA fucks have been promised only crumbs from Trump. The majority of their inclination to support Trump is a stupefying blend of ‘Democrats bad!’ and ‘Make everyone not like me miserable!’

What blend of mental illnesses make a group of people solely motivated by cruelty?

Social conservatism is just Misery Loves Company: The Political Movement.
As someone who grew up in the Southern Baptist Church and spent my teens heavily invested in the “faith,” I feel confident saying that their primary motivation is that they want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.

Oh so we’re at the “it’s okay to call people ‘it’” level of dehumanization. I think I’ve read enough history books to see where we’re headed.
NEW: Platformer has obtained the dehumanizing new guidelines moderating what people can now say about trans people on Facebook and Instagram. Employees tell me these changes are likely to inspire more violence against LGBT people: www.platformer.news/meta-new-tra...
