I think a big difference between what’s happening now and the Star Wars prequels is our version of the Sith outright let us know over and over again “We are evil people here to make things bad for most of you but better for us” beforehand and millions of people still voted for them.

I’m so frustrated watching everything collapse. I’m so lucky to be away from the US and well on my way to making that permanent, but it sucks watching it all just happen with seemingly nothing being done to stop it.
