Every group underrepresented in academia is underrepresented because that group is statistically less likely to be qualified for professorship. Except for conservatives, who are the victims of unseen systemic bias in hiring.

🚨ALERT 🚨ICE activity has been reported in Adams Morgan: this morning (3/26) HSI agents showed up at H.D. Cooke Elementary School and tried to detain a school employee as they got out of the car. The agents did not show a warrant and other employees managed to intervene and prevent the arrest. 1/

I joined a neighborhood mutual aid org after the election, best thing I’ve done in years! We run a free store, and the immediate feedback loop of “do X” and “see impact of X” was really missing from my life. Seeing the way so many simple things can help can be its own self-sustaining motivation.
