For 26 but especially 2028 it's time for Democrats to make clear that the current Supreme Court will have to be reformed (expanded in number, reformed in structure) to allow popular govt to continue in the United States. The reason you don't give ground on trans rights - beyond the simple morality of it being wrong to do so - is because you don't give ground on rights period, and if you're willing to let it slide for one marginalized group it means everyone else is just a matter of price
First they came for the socialists etc. What if they came for some really small marginalized group of people (0.05% of population), and because we tied ourselves in knots trying to keep everyone happy, we never got into power, and never achieved anything.
