Subtitles always if available.

They're not perfect, but they're a lot better than dubbing, and they have no detectable accent.
Do you watch international movies and TV shows in their native language with subtitles, or dubbed with voice-overs if available?

Entering our first Tory free year since 2010. I’ll drink to that.

I’m so proud of everyone that voted those bastards out and everyone that used their voice to resist.

I’m so proud of our campaign team.

I’m proud of everyone that survived.

There is hope.

Change doesn’t happen overnight.

Absolutely, I have several which seem to occur randomly. There's a theatre where I do technical stuff, several road junctions, a building which might be a school, a multistorey car park and a few others. I quite enjoy them all
Do you have recurrent dreamscapes?

(By which I mean places that are not real or unreal versions of real places that you visit repeatedly in different dreams.)

Desperate headlines from the Mail (and the Telegraph) about Sadiq Khan being knighted in the New Year’s honour list

I’m a LIbDem but it seems to me that someone who wins three elections in a row qualifies for a knighthood

More so than Shaun Bailey, who lost to Khan and is now in the Lords

So I've had the dubious privilege of one of my FB posts on my artist page going semi-viral. Which, of course, brings out ridiculous splainy dudes with no context for my work or commentary over the last 20 years telling me what Bandcamp is, why streaming is fine, what music fans want.. FFS...

Jimmy Carter putting his peanut farm into a blind trust reminds me of that time Donald Trump’s son-in-law took $2 Billion from the Saudis who murdered Jamal Khashoggi.

The way to honour Jimmy Carter

- stop arming Israel
- international sanctions
- no sporting or cultural ties
- war crimes tribunals

Late former president Jimmy Carter leaves a complicated legacy: While he built homes for the unhoused, stood up for women's rights, and served his country in politics and the Navy, one time he got a mildly frustrated when his car wouldn't start to go to church. It's time to talk about it.

I had the huge privilege of interviewing Jimmy Carter back in 2011 at his incredibly modest home in Plains, Georgia, with his wife, Rosalynn (who he bickered with in the most loving & curious way throughout the interview). An extraordinary man & legacy. RIP.

Jimmy Carter: 'We never dropped a bomb. We never fired a bullet. We never went to war'
He may live a modest life in a one-horse town, but Jimmy Carter, now 86, retains his global vision. In Plains, Georgia, Carole Cadwalladr found the 39th US president full of energy… and determined to ...

I'm still using WordPerfect after 35 years - I started on an Apricot "portable" PC with version 5 (but have to admit version 5.1 was a game changer).

The current version still stands head & shoulders above Word
Like we make fun (deservedly) of GRRM but WordPerfect was absolutely a superior word processor.

A remarkable synergy in these two photos.

Both taken tonight, but 1500 miles apart.

The first is Tbilisi, Georgia 🇬🇪

The second is Belgrade, Serbia 🇷🇸

Around 100,000 protesting in each city. People separated by geography but united in a fight to protect their democracy.

The world needs to watch.

The suspect in the killing of 5 people at a Christmas market in Germany was an online supporter of Elon Musk & the AFD, a Far Right, pro-Kremlin political party.

Musk, at the heart of the Trump administration, has endorsed the AFD.

Are we grasping the gravity of the current situation?
