Can we please agree that “famous powerful man is so irreplaceable that any conduct can be excused in service of expedience” is the whole problem here
It kind of depends what classes he's teaching. If it's an intro class absolutely easy enough to sub someone in. If it's something more idiosyncratic, maybe less so.
