This is the exact stuff my colleagues and I used to report on. This is Pizzagate shit. And I am going to RIP MY HAIR OUT if a single Democrat even entertains the idea that these losers are making a valid argument.

You simply can’t understand the modern GOP if you don’t conspiracy theories.

THE DAY CARES ARE LOCKED BECAUSE YOU MADE A GENERATION-LONG EFFORT TO MAKE IT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE TO KILL THE CHILDREN INSIDE THEM YOU ABSOLUTE FUCKING GHOULS
these fucking people. they pass laws to make sure every person with a screw loose who wants an Armalite can show up to the day care armed & ready to kill, then complain that the day cares are locked to protect the children inside
CNN: “Surely you don’t think a daycare should be unlocked.”

SHIRLEY: “There should be a reception area.”

CNN: “No, every day care is locked.”

SHIRLEY: “Fair point.” 🤔

He shows up to a day care with masked men and wonders why they don’t let him in.

I have to tell you how not paid enough child care workers are for this bullshit. When I taught high school (2015-2017), I made 60K. When I moved into early childhood in 2018, I made 22K. The disrespect is so overlooked by other workforces even though they wouldn’t be possible without us.
Trump guys are about to Comet Pizza every third daycare center because they think they are all fronts for Somali money laundering. They're only doing this near cities with progressive mayors. This is straight up Government by LibsOfTikTok.

Daycare centers were also the primary target of the Satanic panic, because fundamentally American religious conservatism is opposed to women having jobs outside the home.

Parisot (the Director) tells a story about how Tim Allen just started crying after a scene one day

"I don't like these feelings i'm having." Says Tim. "I'm going back to my trailor" and walks off.

There's silence for a second.

"Oh my god." Says Rickman. "I think Tim just experienced acting."
Galaxy Quest - a perfect movie, just a wonderful love letter to actors, sci-fi, Star Trek in particular, and to fandom - really deserves a proper physical release with decent extras. Think Weaver's right that releasing a R-rated cut would be fun, too.
Sigourney Weaver Says She Wishes DreamWorks Released A Director’s Cut Of ‘Galaxy Quest,’ Reminisces On Sequel That Never Came To Pass
Sigourney Weaver reflected on cult classic Galaxy Quest and how she wishes the sci-fi satire had released an R-rated director's cut.

rewriting a more realistic script for The Lord of the Rings. Frodo just stays home and we watch thirteen hours of him cooking meals and reading books. every hour or so he glances at a newspaper and goes, "Oh shit what's happening in Rohan? That's fucked." Then he goes to the pub to drink with Sam.

Fighting for minority businesses one day and voting to destroy trans people the next. Your vote undermines your fight for Maryland’s economy while also making it impossible for people to just exist in public. Shame on you
I was honored to speak at the annual Minority Legislative Breakfast.

I'm working tirelessly to fight for minority businesses in Maryland – finding more opportunities to grow businesses, create more jobs, attract capital, get tax relief, and fuel our economy.

The premise of US-based coverage of politics is underscored by this.
We're all supposed to be 100% in tune with white men's feelings. We're supposed to care about them at the expense of our own. We are supposed to live in fear of them getting upset. Treating their feelings as grenades that can go off at any time. They on the other hand do not need to care about ours.
