The fact that no one seemed to notice your suffering is not evidence that you were actually "fine" or that you didn't "deserve" support. Do not let CPTSD convince you if you were "really" suffering or worthy, someone would have helped you.

Time hasn’t healed any of these wounds; maybe they stopped bleeding or maybe my heart stopped pumping, maybe they aren’t infected because the flesh is dead, just gouges and shreds out of this ballistic gel wrapped around frayed live wires and dust, instead of scabs, has long settled over the gashes

The smear campaign you thought began when you left your abuser ACTUALLY began way before you left.

DHS's story doesn't add up at all. The agent was on the driver's side of the vehicle. How was the driver trying to drive into him? It sounds more like he grabbed onto the driver or the vehicle as the man tried to drive away, and then shot him.

Strange how empathy is toxic when felt for the oppressed or marginalized but is suddenly a requirement for the death of a man who incited hatred and violence against those groups for the majority of his life and to great profit and personal gain.
