I think people reeeeealllly overestimate the role of trade and industrial policy in US dominance of heavy industry in the 1950s and really underestimate the importance of having dropped high explosives on every facility in Japan or Germany capable of manufacturing a ball bearing

My anniversary is on a poster on our living room wall. We also got married on the day that I consistently misremembered as our dating anniversary. These things making remembering my anniversary a little easier.
don't like to talk about my previous marriage all that much but one of the reasons we got married on the day that we did (10/11/12) was so that i'd remember it.
