Facebook made an algorithm that gave Boomers whatever they wanted, and they destroyed democracy, and then all those FB product managers went over to OpenAI and made ChatGPT, and now they've made a chatbot that tells Boomers whatever they want to hear, and... well, this should go great.
If we are banning cell phones for kids we need to be talking about banning chatbots for boomers

Maybe it’s a little over optimistic, but I legitimately feel like the fabled Year Of the Linux Desktop™ is really coming.

You don’t even begin to comprehend how happy this announcement makes me.

Valve is one of the few companies that I consider myself a supporter of, both from the product and policies standpoint. This lineup is awesome!
Announcing: New @steampowered.com Hardware, coming in 2026:

Steam Controller
Steam Machine
Steam Frame.

The new Digg app is so good I’m surprisingly rooting for its success. The interface is polished, clear and responsive, even the AI features are helpful for once.

I’m curious of how it will scale once the waitlist is dropped and the community creation is opened, but it looks really promising.

I think one of the saddest things about being a millennial is remembering a time when technology was advancing in a way that made life better and easier and more exciting instead of actively, intentionally worse

All i want is to pay more to get rid of anything Microsoft has added to windows in the last 15 years, not this. Please offer me that version, Windows Team, as your additions have been bad for my productivity.
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I wasn’t expecting to relate as much with PiewDiePie at this stage of my life, but his latest videos have really resonated with me.

The last one, about reducing the amount of things he owns in order to simplify his life, really hits the spot.
help, Im going through a midlife crisis...

Finally finished moving my PC build onto the Louqe Ghost R1. Swapped all the fans to Noctua G2s, including a massive NH-D15 cooler.

Impressive for just 17.5 liters!

SteamOS kernel is finally compatible with my GPU. I’m *this* close of finally getting rid of Windows once and for all, even if it means missing on some games due to anticheat shenanigans.

Now with their own *bespoke* ownership :D

Really glad for them, the situation at IGN is turning into a shitshow and they are too much of an institution in the industry to lose them.
We're excited and proud to announce that Digital Foundry is now fully independent, having parted ways amicably with IGN. In this DF Direct Special, we share our thoughts and aspirations for the future of the channel: youtu.be/tl7bIJ2yu4I

“Well duh, what did you expect?”

I mean, you fucking asked, what did YOU expect my answer would be??

It’s been a while since I’ve picked up the phone out of pure boredom during a movie, but Superman has managed to do just that.

There are many MANY things that I don’t like about it, which is a shame because, against all odds, I really loved Corenswet’s portrayal.

The scene in every alien movie where the aliens take over all the TVs by overriding broadcast signals is impossible in 2025 when everything is streaming. The aliens would be all, shit all the TVs run different HTML5 app platforms and we need to root all of them at once

As an avid Kojima fan, it pains so much that it has taken me 6 years to finally get sucked into Death Stranding.

I’ve never played something so hostile yet so captivating. There’s warmth in the emptiness of its world, humanity in the apocalyptic story.

I’m lost for words.

Now, onto the sequel.

If you told me 3 months ago that Tsunoda would outlast Horner in Red Bull, I’d call you bonkers.

Either he has been fired to appease Max (and I don’t know why at this point), or they’ve already lost him and his march has triggered a contract clause.

I’m kinda sad, we’ve lost a terrific villain #F1

I see this and I'm reminded of that study that shows people literally becoming dumber when overrelying on genAI and I wonder that's what is happening here

Like, I'm seriously concerned when people in executive positions are lobotomizing themselves and what that means for the economy and progress
Matt Turnbull, Executive Producer at Xbox Game Studios Publishing - after the Microsoft layoffs - suggesting on Linkedin that may maybe people who have been let go should turn to AI for help. He seriously thought posting this would be a good idea.
