I would think that the entire fun of being a billionaire would be never having to suck up to anyone, least of all dipshits like Donald Trump, but apparently I’m wrong.

Hard agree👇
i keep seeing people saying “no way to know why dems lost” and it makes me want to lose my mind

they lost bc disengaged voters bought gop bullshit and its pretty obvious this was the payoff of a generational effort on the right to work the refs in media…

Hi Blueskyers. I run the organization @protectdemocracy.org which aims to do just that.

Over the past decade we’ve won countless cases to protect voters and truth, helped pass legislation, and unfortunately predicted much of what’s happened.

Follow and repost so we can keep doing that here.

3rd smallest margin since 1888!
As the ballot count continues, Trump has fallen below 50% and leads the popular vote by “about 1.6 percentage points, the third smallest [margin] since 1888.”

He also “generated little of the coattails of a true landslide.”

So much for all that “mandate” bluster. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/22/u...
The ‘Landslide’ That Wasn’t: Trump and Allies Pump Up His Narrow Victory
The latest vote count shows that Donald J. Trump won the popular vote by one of the smallest margins since the 19th century. But Mr. Trump claims a “powerful mandate.”

Not only are teslas ugly, not only are they built by a trumpist billionaire ass, but they are also deadly!
Elon Musk loves to talk about how safe Teslas are and how their autonomous driving systems are safer than humans.

But new data from the US road safety regulator shows Teslas have the highest rate of fatal accidents among all US vehicle brands.

Absolutely! Rest up a few hours, then get up!
Now is not the time for acceptance and resignation. This is - yet again - a time for commitment and action.

Do not say you’re weary - before the battle has been joined. Simply unacceptable.

The gentler side of human nature has been squashed by tech. People live in their anger cocoons of smartphones and TV and this is what emerges.

What can I say? The United States is a deeply unhealthy country. There’s a lot of anger, fear, and selfishness out there. Also, we’re all way much online — not enough talking to others in person, going into nature, engaging with the arts.

A reminder that the #1 people to blame for Trump winning are all of the terrible human beings who voted for him and backed him.

Lots of other questions about the way forward. But those people all had agency, and they used it their agency to cause harm.

Out: curing meat!
In: curing ballots!
I was not aware of this. "ballot curing was the difference in the 2020 presidential election in both Georgia and Wisconsin. It can also make the difference in congressional races, state legislative races, and especially in local races".

It's done by volunteers, on the phone; see the link for orgs
