"Co-creator."

Archie Comics (originally MLJ Comics) owner John Goldwater claimed sole creation credit for DECADES, when in fact 95% of it was Montana.

Goldwater rewarded Montana with the Archie newspaper strip, which he produced until his death in 1975 at age 54 (heart attack while skiing).
Today is the birthday of artist Bob Montana (Oct. 23, 1920-Jan. 4, 1975), cocreator of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, & more!

Last year the Japanese variety show Gaki no Tsukai had the famous singer Yoko Takahashi go undercover at a restaurant where she fooled everyone right up until she took the stage and belted out A Cruel Angel's Thesis, the intro song to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Just stunning.

Anniversary art share from generous Mark McMurray, who wrote: "the 40th anniversary of when you and John created it is now upon us! Started 4/12/1985, and completed 5/10/1985..." Thanks, Mark!

Spoiler: It is absolutely market manipulation
Rep. Steven Horsford to Greer: "So the trade representative hasn't spoken to the POTUS about a global reordering of trade, but yet he announced it on a tweet? WTF! Who is in charge? It looks like your boss just pulled the rug out from under you. There is no strategy ... is this market manipulation?"

Lotta people who have spent their comfortable, unbothered lives smugly insisting they "Don't do politics" are about to find out politics have no issue doin' them.

it sure is something how often you see "Comic McCreator, well known for inventing several billion dollar IPs and writing 800 issues over a decades-spanning career, is crowdfunding medical bills that in any decent society would either be free or, at the bare minimum, easily paid for with royalties"

Exactly.
Speaking as a rural Democrat, the strategists’ push to the move Dems to the center is ill-advised.

No one needs Republican lite when there’s a Republican already on the ballot.

The fact that Ultimate Spider-Man is so good highlights what a mistake One More Day was.
Reading the newest Ultimate Spidey this morning and yknow what I've ALWAYS loved in when some dipshit pushes our boy too far and gets a rude reminder of how scarily powerful he really is. It was cool when Stan and Steve did it and it's cool now!

I think we probably got more than we bargained for by shotgunning all of Twin Peaks for the podcast 😅 but No Ragrets
Cultists, we're back with the 3rd in our Twin Peaks series. This ep your Hosts will be putting Lynch's controversial film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, on the exam table. A critical & commercial disappointment upon release, it has been reappraised in recent years but remains a challenging film.
