It's a common misconception that Ring Pull style tabs are largely extinct in the modern age — this isn't the case!

Watch out for migrant and imported species, as these are still widespread throughout Asia and the Middle East, which are key records.

Wanting to make trans and lesbian colored pull tab chains to go with a patch pants project I'm planning, but I don't have remotely enough monster tabs yet!
A chain comprised of a large swivel clasp, key ring, and sets of 3 beverage can tabs per "link" in sequence of: light blue Monster tab, pink Monster tab, plain tab, pink Monster tab, and light blue Monster tab Monster tabs (and one regular soda tab) arranged to roughly match the 5 stripe sunset lesbian flag colors: orange, yellow, plain, pink, red

Fair play to them, they went with a brilliant choice of Nitri!

Acutios parvum (family Acutiforaminis — it's actual status on Freeway Cola hasn't actually been established yet, though the limited samples we have seen have not shown its presence in this host yet.

Keep an eye out!
The back end of the Lidl Freeway Cola Truck. It is vinyl printed to give the appearance of the top of a soda can, including the presence of an Acutios parvum specimen — refer to next image. A Nitri (Can tab) of the family Acutiforaminis, known as Acutios parvum. It has a small, flat Primary Oral Groove (Top hole), and a largely square Secondary Oral Groove (Bottom hole), of the same diameter as the P. Oral Groove. The body is largely debossed, surrounded by a heightened border. This specimen has a partially complete Rivet Structure, having a square Rivet Island with a pinched shape at its bottom — no Rivet is present in the specimen.

It's official, Faba and Minimus are no more! The former Faba foraminis and Minimus foraminis have been brought together into genus Parvum with their more common P. foramen brethren, bringing the total of Parvum species to three.

Hands up, we made a mistake, and we're shamelessly going to use it to show off some cool Nitri!

For over a month now, the NCG has had two different Os Parvums, while going through a collection we had access to we added these 2 under the exact same name, over 2 different families (1/2)
(Formerly) Os Parvum, a small Acutiforaminid Nitri (That's a can tab for normal people) that commonly inhabits soft drink cans. Its Primary Oral Groove is small and flat, and the Secondary Oral Groove is square with slightly rounded edges. The Rivet Island is square, slightly pinched towards the bottom, and the entire centre of the tab's body is slightly indented with a thick border around its edge. The top of the tab is relatively curved. Os parvum, a Nitri very similar to the one in image one. However, its Secondary Oral Groove is rounded towards its top, placing it within the family of Duoforaminis instead. The top of the tab is completely flat and squared off too. The rivet island is not present in this specimen, but it would presumably be the same.
