Sometimes I stay up at night wondering what would the world be like if Pinkerton was commercially successful | Texas Ex 🤘🏾new Northern Virginian, just taking it one day at a time
It’s Halloween baseball time! Honestly I was a bit indifferent who won the World Series because I really wanted the mariners but Toronto’s pitching has really made want to go for them tonight.

AIA Condemns Demolition of the White House East Wing and Calls for Transparency in Public Architecture

Decided to give myself the day off as a restorative mental health day after all the travel and work related stuff I’ve done the last week.

Got myself a breakfast and currently working at the library! It’s been a good day so far — should really give myself more days off like this instead of travel.

I’ve been exploring Cardiff today and my god the amount of pedestrian malls and arcade spaces make it so nice to navigate through the city.

Sure the cobblestone isn’t the best but it’s better than having to navigate through multiple lanes of roads.

That this is happening at a Seattle-based PBS station does not bode well for rural stations. What a huge loss for the Northwest.
A dark day for Northwest journalism: @cascadepbs.bsky.social is axing the @cascadepbsnewsroom.bsky.social, laying off 17 people, per internal memo obtained by @kuow.org.

Cascade PBS got ~10% of its budget from Corp. for Public Broadcasting. Unclear why its whole newsroom had to be axed.

People ask me why I left Texas for Virginia and amongst the plenty of actual reasons for doing so, weather like today is probably one of the biggest reasons

The fact that the recission package passed despite the fact that public broadcasting only costs the federal taxpayer $1.60 is so disappointing.

Nearly 600 voting lawsuits were filed from 2021-2024, but two-thirds focused on just 9 battleground states. Three states saw none. When most of the country is ignored, voter suppression goes unchecked.
