Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

"They already have all your data anyway" is never a useful reason to not try to reduce data exposure, nor is "other platforms do worse". It also matters if data are being gathered for, say, participating in a neutral/generic platform vs. for a specific event or purpose targeted by authorities.

Before the cops in LA started escalating things for no reason it was funny how my main takeaway was how much people were looking out for each other in really helpful ways. I’ve never seen so many people with carts giving away free water, sunscreen, snacks, and masks to total strangers.

This was a blatant persecution of anti-war activists & civil rights leaders who sought to expose the hypocrisy of the war machine.

I just realized that I have Dark Souls 2 in my Steam Library... No idea why, I didn't like playing the first Dark Souls (and the abysmal PC port didn't help). Having played Bloodborne and Elden Ring maybe I'd be more open to it now... My desire to play games is waning.

Still love that you get, what, 10 maybe 15-20 hours into Cyberpunk 2077 and only at that point you finally hit the title sequence.
I mean, unless you just speed through the main story, but where's the fun in that?

Going through a backlog of games I've wanted to play, but just didn't for some reason. Started with the Mafia definitive edition which apparently slapped a fresh coat of paint on what I seem to remember as a fairly decent-looking game.
