My friend and others have that have been protesting in the D.C. area for years and have been saying this, as well. Stay away from these groups. They will call the police, protest police you (you aren't doing it right/our way), and want you to register for events (DON'T DO THIS!!!).
50501 organizers are a danger to activists. not only must we avoid cops at all times but now we need to stay clear of these peace police. keep your heads on a swivel.
Today at the protest downtown, white organizers with 50501 called the police on a vendor for selling Black Panther merchandise in their protest even though he only had a small table and stayed out of the public right of way.

Fascists constantly paint their enemies as simultaneously too strong and too weak. Because of that, they constantly underestimate their enemies and are unable to fight them effectively.
I think there’s probably power in being up against people who simply can’t conceive of anyone caring enough to act without being bribed to do so. It means that they cannot imagine, or thereby prepare themselves for, a driven opposition.
