It's so weird how people keep saying ICE is leaving x city. They have been everywhere doing these same things for a very long time. It's mostly just happened in ways that don't make the news or social media feeds.

Work has been slow for day laborers at Voz in PDX. One theory is that people are worried about ICE showing up to their home if they hire day laborers. If you have home repairs, yard work etc that would take at least 4 hours, considering hiring someone from Voz

This is the best write up I’ve seen about the whole Ring Super Bowl commercial/backlash/Flock divorce, with the added context of a thorough interview with Simonoff. I appreciate how Nilay Patel presses Simonoff on a lot of his claims about Ring.
Let’s talk about Ring, lost dogs, and the surveillance state
The security camera maker’s Search Party feature, advertised during the Super Bowl, has sparked a surveillance backlash.

Holy shit I have so many things i could add to this story and tried to warn people about Sunstone when they first started operating. Hollie Miller literally had no idea what she was doing when she was the financial officer and now runs this really questionable company

In theory this could be a useful tool but clicking through it and it's all been written by generative AI and "may include errors"
We built Jikipedia, a new wiki that compiles Jmail data into exhaustive reports on key figures in the Epstein scandal.

It lists all recorded visits to Epstein's estates, each person's possible knowledge of Epstein's crimes and laws that they may have violated. (1/2)

This is all kind of a loose set of associations, not necessarily a specific argument, but as the current moment around thinness snaps into focus, it's tough not to feel like we've had a return to form: proud, noisy anti-fatness that permeates everyday life and goes almost entirely uninterrupted.

The Riverside Trail on the Clackamas River took a real beating during the flooding and winds in December.
The real bummer is that a lot of the still living trees that didn't get torched in the Riverside Fire came down.

No one should be profiting from ICE's violence.

We compiled a list of the companies in our state who have engaged in federal contracts with ICE + CBP over the past few years. For info on these companies, and the people who run them, check out our site. And then do something.

Somehow missed the PPS is planning to close the high school portion of MLC. Almost everyone I know that grew up here went there. It's such a haven for weirdos that don't fit in at traditional high schools in the city.
