Unsurprising but just 7 months ago the mayor had a very different opinion on enforcement of the camping ban
"We cannot arrest our way out of unsheltered homelessness," he said. "So, I've really kind of pulled back the officers from doing that because all you're guaranteeing when you arrest somebody and or cite them or take them into jail is you're ensuring that person's gonna be homeless for another day."

Went on my regular beach walk this morning and was really surprised to see my first Short-eared Owl and a Franklin's Gull

Saw my first real ion rare bird today! Northern Wheatear are sometimes seen in New England and the mid-Atlantic but rarely on the West Coast. This one showed up at Rooster Rock a few days ago and stuck around long enough for me to see it! #birds
