Heard the arty peeps have finally arrived. Been in the kitchen scrolling Instagram. I make art from recycled materials exploring environmental issues. Also community arts and performance design. Hoping for art/culture/craft/community/environment chats.

Yes this is my life. Also a reminder that workshop artists have to make prototypes/samples to work out material costs, variations and timings, often spending longer on prep than the duration of the workshop to make sure it's a smooth and enjoyable workshop for all participants. #whatartistsdoallday
Me this afternoon to @nerissact.bsky.social "Why are you making a giant skeleton hand?"
N: "For a giant skeleton hand workshop I'll be running."

I loved mine. It was pale blue. My daughter wore it when she was little too.

It's that time of year when I'm not sure what to wear. It's lovely outside and possibly ok in a big cardi but I have a feeling it will be colder INSIDE the studio. #studiolife

I made mini versions of my Message in a Bottle series.

Question. What should they be?
A. Brooches
B. Pendants
C. Magnets

Please help me decide. #onmydesk

Public galleries/exhibitions often have a 'no explicit or offensive ' clause but these quilts are beautiful, bold abstract expressions. I guess this speaks of their power. Well done to SAQA for pulling the exhibition rather than be censored 🔥#textileart

With news of independent businesses closing practically daily, especially hospitality, supporting local restaurants is key so finished the week with fabulous food with the family at Zaytoon. Fresh & tasty. Friendly & accommodating. But still can't spell my name right 😁 #manchesterfood

Since returning to freelancing at Christmas, my OH has been getting back to his more creative side alongside the web work. Great to see his stuff getting so much love from the BlueSky community 🩵
Inks now. I really like the feeling of movement in this one.

Daughter is obsessed with The Traitors. I just want to know if @claudiawinkleman.bsky.social is rocking cool wrist warmers again this season. I make mine out of old jumpers/cardigans. #warmhands #thetraitors

Popped into The Oystercatcher in Sale to check in on my coastal bottle wall plaques. There's also some of my work in Chorlton branch including some Coastal Dreams textile wall panels. It's nice when I meet their customers at fairs/events and they recognise my work.

Two middle class women of a certain age are talking.

Woman 1: What exercise is Greg(g) Wallace doing?

Woman 2: I think it’s called a plank

Woman 1: Oh sorry, you’re right! What exercise is that plank doing?
