The digital version of The EGM Compendium has now been sent out to backers. Will be up on the Digital Archive in the next day or so.

It’s kind of terrifying. This is the culmination of the last two years of my working life, and now I get to watch people be like, “Yeah it’s okay I guess.” 😆

A massive problem today is the uneven distribution of shame. Some of us are running dedicated on-site shame servers 24/7 while others have no access to shame at all, even though they desperately need it. What we need to do is put shame in the cloud

A fallen log you spot by the eastern woods will do for a ram. You don’t need to be silent, or to hide your doings, so you quickly discover that the “wall” is but an excuse, something more likely to discourage any onlookers, than to stop them.

Showing yet again that the DMCA system is not fit for purpose, No Players Online launched on Steam on November 6 and then got taken down but it's back.

Every time I see a report about how incredibly racist Elon Musk is being on X, I continue to be glad I clearly don't need to be on there - and neither do you.

Drop the X. Close the tab. Thank me later.

I'll say it again -- I'm on my firm's AI committee: every canned demo has had brutal, malpractice-level errors, and every live trial has required more time and care to vet the output than to just do it, like working with an unteachably incompetent associate you'd need to sit down for a Hard Talk.

You stop by the fallen log resting near the trail. A rotting sack behind it brings you a tale of someone taking a break before a long climb.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.
