I found the worst baseball game. Major Dream: Major Wii: Perfect Closer is one of the most notorious video games ever released in Japan and there's more things wrong with it than you can imagine.

Step 2: Satya Nadella says as much as 30% of Microsoft code is written by AI.
Step 3: Windows 11 is a sluggish, buggy mess.

Who coined "Metroidvania"? It wasn't @jparish.bsky.social, and he'll be the first to tell you. Besides, there are far more interesting questions, like: How did it spread? Evolve? And what's it got to do with rickrolling?

Watch til the end for a post-credits sting.

I'm coming to realize how much stress games I once enjoyed put me through with "limited time" garbage, and how much I fall back on games that are just themselves.

FOMO is an ulcer. Dailies are a jock itch. Either let me unlock a thing or don't, I'm not here to work.

Rather just play Rimworld.

Fun fact: Microsoft only put the Xbox 360 into series production 69 days before the September 14, 2005 launch date.

This, combined with the high initial failure rate due to the red ring of death (RROD), was a major cause of initial supply shortages in the console's first year on sale.

These are 3 of like 20 different click through in-game adverts and full screen blocks that occured when I started up Call of Duty 7 for the first time in like 2 weeks.

I have said it for years, but if there was a game that hated the people that played it, it was Call of Duty.

i know i said the "incentives" weren't really the point of this subathon because i don't want to make promises that are easy to flake out on, which is true...but i did come up with some stuff that i can force vox to do. there are actually more incentives than this, but only if we get there, lol...

Since Polygon is leaving it out of the headline: Epic Games partnered with The Game Awards to put money into the pocket of a bigot who uses her wealth to further the genocide of trans people through lawsuits and legislation. Every 'free' game gives money directly to JKR, and they are complicit.

Epic pays for licensing fees for the games they give away for free as promotions. Which means even if YOU aren't paying for it, you're giving money to JK Rowling to harm transgender people AND elevating her stature by giving her franchise higher numbers.

NO TERF WIZARD GAME. NO TERF WIZARD SHOW.

Ask yourself if kids prefer toys, or stores. Games from a generation ago were allowed to be toys. Games today are forced to be stores.
