Here's how to turn off Bluesky's censorship settings, so you can see posts by people you follow, even if Bluesky thinks they're rude.

You can customize the controls on quite a bit more than the Rude label, even.
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

In the near future economy, I bet the skill of “can type a prompt into ChatGPT and repeat whatever it says” will be less in demand than “understands things enough to catch when ChatGPT makes an error or hallucinates.”
Wow. Just wow.

"Students pay premium prices for information that AI now delivers instantly and for free. A business student can ask ChatGPT to explain supply chain optimization or generate market analysis in seconds. The traditional lecture-and-test model faces its Blockbuster moment."

I need to tell you about something that happened on my flight to St Louis today.

At the end of the flight, our United flight attendant got on the PA to pitch us on the United credit card, as they are all required to do. After telling us about its benefits, she said the following:

On one hand, Republican officials call themselves "warfighters."

On the other, they become whiny crybabies at the thought of setting foot in DC streets and New York City subways that literal schoolchildren navigate every day without incident.

Real macho stuff.

They don't exist anymore, but I once made a pie with Grapples... a brand of apples that were infused with diluted grape juice. It was decent!

Axios: House Dems have procedural tools to try to save PBS and NPR but refuse to use them.

Scoop: House Democrats shrug off delay tactics to stall Mike Johnson's DOGE vote

Sounds like ICE killed a guy and then held american citizens hostage at gunpoint until they agreed to destroy the evidence
Our staff is on the ground supporting families. Many workers-including US citizens, were held by federal authorities at the farm for 8 hours or more. US citizen workers report only being released after they were forced to delete photos and videos of the raid from their phones. 4/

Kinda a classic "I like waffles" "so you hate pancakes" moment here but my implication is not that those are the conditions in which we should house people, just that the gov can mobilize and build structures when they want to and no one asks about costs or red tape if it's a prison camp

I really don’t care about the Sean Combs trial, and I don’t need to know the verdict in real time.

The Senate just passed a bill that expands ICE into a no-shit unprecedented secret police force with more funding than the US Marines, and ALL OF THE CABLE NETWORKS are fixated on Sean Combs.

If you say that America is poised to institutionalize a police state - that the reality of concentration camps and regularized disappearances will become an ongoing facet of life - you'll still receive eye-rolls and clucked tongues. But that is not a possibility of this budget, it is the purpose.
this is the level of funding where all the possibilities for American politics that have been described as hyperbolic over the past decades - the comparisons to Nazi Germany and other nightmares of the 20th century - become logistically possible and politically likely
If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029:

- $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion
- $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million
- $8 billion for hiring/retention
- Billions more.

And Trump has now admitted that he gave access to high level government secrets to a man he believes to be a big time drug addict.
