I know pretty much every trans person is some combination of anxiety and dread this week

So this message is for cis people:

This is it. Yeah, the odds of this budget stopping are slim, but if you shrug and let it happen without calling, protesting, anything you can do? You gave up on trans lives.

First we lost our grants, which limit our ability to do conservation work, and now we lose reliable census data (Trump had all data related to LGBTQ+ identities scrubbed). I know everything sucks and this is the point, but it's just never ending.

An important point. I’m sure there are a lot of ways scientists and science communicators can do better, but as long as organized and funded political disinformation campaigns are rampant and unconstrained, we’re fighting a real uphill battle.
This is shocking. Before anyone says it's the biggest failure ever seen in science communication, it's not (all) our fault! It's politically driven disinformation
Wild that 28% of Tory voters don't believe humans are causing climate change.

The figure is quite high for UK population as a whole, at 17%.

Yet it's 4yrs since the IPCC upgraded its certainty on our role in causing climate change, calling it "unequivocal". Lotta people didn't get the message.

Baltimore is a city of street art so I can't wait to contribute!
